- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Get a baking tray ready with a baking paper.
- In a bowl, mix together oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, blend melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until they form a smooth mixture. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract thoroughly.
- Slowly combine the dry ingredients with the wet ones, stirring until they come together. Add chocolate chips and shredded coconut if desired, gently folding them in.
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, place portions of dough onto the lined baking tray, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges achieve a golden hue.
- Once out of the oven, allow the hunks to cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack for complete cooling.
